During a defensive struggle on Sunday, the Denver Broncos clinched a 13-11 win over the winless New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz provided the game-winning decisive three-pointer to secure the hard-fought win.

Dominant Display Seals Contest

Even with recording nine sacks versus Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 after conceding a safety in the second half. Interestingly, the Jets could only produce a mere 82 offensive yards throughout the entire game.

Nix, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, engineered a decisive 12-play, 65-yard drive that culminated in Lutz's short field goal with just over five minutes remaining.

Record Struggles for Jets Attack

Despite their dismal performance, the Jets maintained the ball with a opportunity to drive for a possible winning score. But Fields was tackled on fourth down from the Denver 44 when coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it rather than sending out kicker Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

Fields had difficulties throughout, connecting on just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. The Jets finished with negative ten passing yards, the lowest in any game since 1998.

"Our passing game was non-existent," the coach stated after the game.
